“Lord forgive me the Hennesey got me not knowin’ how to act”
When worse comes to worse and my peoples come first
Try to react and get them motherfuckin feelings hurt
My crew’s all about loot
Fuck lookin cute, I’m strictly Timb boots and army certified suits
Puffin L’s, laid back, enjoyin the smell
In the Bridge gettin down it ain’t hard to tell
You better realize
Solid throwback tracks of the day and for that matter album too. Queensbridge’s Havoc and Prodigy drop some memorable beats and some mighty dark lyrics on an album that holds up 15 years later (although recorded in 94′). This is one of those East Coast albums along with Black Moon’s Enta Da Stage that shoulda had more attention. Guest spots include: Ghostface, NAS, Q-Tip, Big Noyd, and Raekwon.
Also, peep the sample track they used on “Shook Ones (Part II)” as it comes from a song composed by Ron Grainer that was used on “To Sir, with Love”. Crazy how they took it and flipped it.
