You Heard It There First Vol. 21 (Snoop Edition)

[If you missed the history of how Snoop got the Fo’ schizzle in his bizzle then check out the Double Dutch post HERE]
Couple of tracks used by Snoop on his 93′ album Doggystlye. I figured I’d post the not-so-obvious samples as most folks know the Parliament ones and I’m also working on a Parliament Funkadelic/Bootsy/Fred Wesley post down the line so I’ll post em’ all there.
Tracks below are pretty good. You’ll know the George McCrae track when you hear it. The Slave track is friggin’ awesome. I wish I knew more about Slave but I only know a couple of songs by them and one of the others is posted below as a bonus track. Of course you all know La-Di-Da-Di as it has been sampled by more than a handful of folks over the years. I’ll let Bernard Wright’s song speak for itself…
George McCrae’s I Get Lifted [Sampled on Gin & Juice] – HERE
Slave’s Watching You [Sampled on Gin & Juice] – HERE
Bernard Wright’s Haboglabotribin’ [Sampled on Gz & Hustlas] – HERE
Doug E Fresh & Slick Rick’s La-Di-Da-Di [Sampled on Lodi Dodi] – HERE
Bonus: Not related to Snoop – I just wanted to post this other Slave track cause I love it.
Slave’s Son of Slide – HERE
