JJ FAD - Used to love this shit when I was a kid! I still think this album holds up well over time. Produced by Dr. Dre back in 1988 – JJ FAD were the first Grammy nominated female hip-hop group. Of course everyone knows the track Supersonic but this other one My Dope Intro is probably my favorite track on the album.

“My Dope Intro” – HERE
Salt ‘N Pepa - This album always reminds me of day camp back in NYC. I just remember going to some sporting event with a classmate and this was playing on the radio. This song was basically playing on the radio non-stop when it first came out.

“Push It (Remix)” – HERE
“My Mike Sounds Nice” – HERE
MC Lyte - Every time I walk by the Astor Place subway stop in NYC – I’m reminded of her video Paper Thin where she takes the subway over her “bad Jetta”. Always like the beat/music for this track and always liked Lyte’s voice.

Poor Georgie – HERE
Def Dames - I just recently found these two online. They came out with the album 2 4 the Bass in 1989. Not the most groundbreaking of albums but I thought this track was pretty tight.

“Set It Off” – HERE

Yo, Arabian Prince also produced part of the Supersonic album by JJ FAD. He played with madlib and Percee P at the last stones throw tour at Berbatis Pan…sickness
